Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales growth in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebooking
• Handle salon operations including check-in/out, reminders, and records
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions
• Drive salon sales through recommendations and promotions
• Respond to pet health issues and assist across departments

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training is required. You'll need computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in a pet-filled environment with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
