Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and provides outstanding pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/merchandise
- Handle salon operations including appointments, check-ins, check-outs, and sales
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane pet conditions
- Respond to pet health issues and support store-wide needs
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must possess strong communication, organizational skills, physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs), flexibility for evenings/weekends, and composure under pressure. Computer proficiency essential.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and drive sales
- Manage salon operations: check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
- Assist with sick/injured pets and cross-department support as needed
