Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet pet needs.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, take action on sick/injured animals, assist other departments as needed.
- Drive sales to hit targets, participate in recognition culture, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure environments, possess computer proficiency, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/water. Flexible scheduling required (evenings/weekends/holidays).
