Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive pet parent experiences. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, this role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to uphold PetSmart's vision of Anything for Pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Engage pet parents in-person/phone/register to recommend wellness solutions and book appointments.
• Handle check-in/out procedures, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
• Promote salon sales, merchandise, and services to meet targets.
• Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
• Assist other departments and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Salon Academy completion with safety certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and animal handling.
