Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon success in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
• Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, rebooking, and phone reminders.
• Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure pet health/safety; transport sick pets to vet as needed.
• Assist other departments and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
