Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Elizabethtown, KY location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and outstanding pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales goals in a supportive, pet-loving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Grooming Services
- Independently perform full bath, brush, grooming, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend health and wellness solutions based on pet needs.
Customer Experience
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out, rebooking, and reminder calls.
- Promote salon sales and merchandise to meet targets.
Safety & Maintenance
- Maintain highest cleanliness and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day cleaning.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed; assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, moderate-noise environment with live animals.
