Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs, recommend and sell services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and uphold company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, moderate-noise environment.
