Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Drive sales through merchandise promotion and service upsells to meet targets.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed; assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
