Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Estero, Florida location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales targets in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, recommend merchandise/services to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation, humane conditions; report and transport sick/injured pets as needed.
- Assist other departments, participate in recognition culture, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/hair/noise/wet areas.
