Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Eugene store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and thrive in a fast-paced pet-loving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold highest cleanliness/sanitation standards; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning.
- Monitor pet health; take immediate action for sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
