Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon sales and maintaining top cleanliness standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost sales and pet health.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist customers in-person and via phone.
• Maintain salon sanitation through daily cleaning checklists; ensure humane conditions and immediate response to sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to store metrics and culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and possess strong organization, communication, and safety focus. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
