Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional grooming services while ensuring pet health, safety, and outstanding customer experiences. This hands-on role involves full-service grooming, client consultations, and salon operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/products to boost pet health.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Drive sales targets through merchandising and upselling while monitoring pet health and coordinating vet transport if needed.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are vital. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments. Computer proficiency and safety focus are musts.
