Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, safety standards, and company values while recommending wellness solutions to boost pet health and salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend services/products, and promote sales to meet targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues, including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and foster an inclusive team environment.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hairy environments, and animal handling.
