Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales contributions in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Drive salon sales through merchandise/service promotions to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and respond to health issues.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays required. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to wet/noisy conditions with live animals.
