Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise, and drive salon sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness and safety; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
• Support store operations, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
