Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Folsom, CA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold PetSmart's vision by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and health standards in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend merchandise, and drive salon sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
