Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health, safety, and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to meet pet needs.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Drive sales growth through merchandising and upselling to hit targets.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily/end-of-day maintenance, ensure humane pet conditions.
• Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed.
• Assist other departments and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must be computer-proficient, organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure with flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays). Strong communication essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
