Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Forsyth, Illinois location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and salon excellence while sharing responsibility for cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend merchandise/services to boost sales.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist at salon and register.
• Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Identify sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed; assist other departments and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
