Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Fort Myers, Florida location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service and sales to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Handle check-in/out procedures, reservations, and client communications
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions
- Promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets
- Respond to pet health issues and assist other departments as needed
Experience & Skills
Requires prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet hair-filled environment.
