Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role emphasizes grooming expertise, safety, cleanliness, and sales while collaborating across departments. Ideal for animal lovers with grooming skills seeking flexible, rewarding work in Fort Wayne.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend/sell services and merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, pet safety; respond to health issues including vet transport.
• Support store-wide tasks, follow policies, and contribute to inclusive culture.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet areas; reasonable accommodations available.
