Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Based in our Fort Worth location, you'll independently handle full grooming menus, manage client interactions, and maintain salon standards to uphold our vision of Anything for Pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute full-service grooming: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive sales of merchandise/services.
• Handle salon operations including greetings, reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and reminder calls.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
• Support store goals by assisting other departments and following all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments.
