Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Framingham, MA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold highest cleanliness/sanitation standards; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning.
- Monitor pet health, take action on sick/injured animals, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
