Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in a wet, noisy setting with pet hair and mechanical parts. Depth perception and composure under pressure required.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
• Manage check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
• Promote sales to meet targets while upholding pet safety.
• Maintain salon sanitation and respond to pet health issues.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Strong communication, organization, computer skills, and ability to thrive in a dynamic pet environment. Passion for animals and customer satisfaction is key.
