Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This full-time role in our Fredericksburg store emphasizes grooming expertise, customer engagement, and upholding safety standards in a fast-paced pet retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness, perform daily/end-of-day maintenance, ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, strong organization, communication skills, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a wet, noisy environment with animals. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier loads.
