Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness products/services, and upsell to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
• Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's values of belonging and recognition.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments with live animals.
