Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services while prioritizing pet health safety and customer satisfaction. This role involves hands-on grooming client interactions and salon management in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on needs recommend wellness products
- Handle appointments check-ins check-outs and reminder calls
- Maintain salon cleanliness and report pet health issues immediately
- Drive sales through merchandising and service promotions
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency composure under pressure organizational skills and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs in a pet-filled environment. Strong communication and flexibility for varied shifts essential.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle pets in dynamic environment (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths brushes nail trims and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and upsell services
- Manage salon operations including check-in check-out reservations and client communications
- Maintain salon cleanliness sanitation and pet safety standards
- Assist with sales targets and work across departments as needed
