Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Based in Gainesville, Florida, this role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions
- Drive sales through merchandise recommendations and service promotions
- Handle check-in/out procedures and respond to pet health emergencies
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, and ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment with moderate noise and wet conditions.
