Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards while recommending wellness solutions. Located in Gaithersburg, MD, this role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Identify and address sick/injured pets, assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
