Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Galesburg, IL salon, you'll deliver best-in-class grooming services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales growth in a supportive, pet-loving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
• Drive salon sales through recommendations, merchandise upsells, and achieving productivity targets.
• Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
• Greet clients, answer questions, and assist across departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
