Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Garden Grove, CA location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, providing best-in-class salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and safety in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently deliver full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Recommend wellness solutions, manage pet parent interactions in-person, phone, and at register.
• Handle reservations, check-in/out, client records, and rebooking; conduct reminder calls.
• Promote sales to meet targets, recommend merchandise/services.
• Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
