Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role demands grooming expertise, customer engagement, and upholding safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend/sell services and merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet health/safety; respond to emergencies including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in company culture initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must possess computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
