Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend products/services to boost sales and pet health.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane pet conditions; report and transport sick pets as needed.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to store metrics.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy (6 months training). Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays required. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy settings.
