Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of exceptional pet care through grooming expertise, customer engagement, and salon maintenance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales and meet targets.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues by transporting to vet if needed.
• Collaborate across departments and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. You need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
