Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll handle full grooming menus, maintain salon standards, and contribute to store success through sales and safety protocols in our Glen Burnie location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute bath, brush, grooming, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Drive salon sales by recommending merchandise and services to meet targets.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
