Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds cleanliness, pet health/safety standards, and drives salon sales in our Glendale store. Ideal for groomers who thrive in fast-paced settings with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation, humane pet conditions, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and promote team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include standing, lifting 50-100 lbs, exposure to wet/hairy environments and animals.
