Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role upholds cleanliness, pet safety, and sales goals while collaborating across departments. Ideal for animal lovers with grooming expertise seeking flexible, rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, record-keeping.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed; assist other store areas as required.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, organize efficiently, communicate effectively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
