Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds cleanliness, pet safety, and company values while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation, humane pet conditions, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to store metrics.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling pets in a dynamic environment.
