Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales growth. Uphold our high standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive sales of merchandise/services.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
