Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top standards in pet health, safety, and cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, and promote salon sales.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and respond swiftly to pet health issues.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client records, reminder calls, and rebooking to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in PetSmart's inclusive culture.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments.
