Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer service in a fast-paced retail environment, sharing responsibility for salon operations and store-wide pet health.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Handle check-in/out procedures, phone reservations, and sales register.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, perform end-of-day maintenance, and report sick pets.
- Promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments.
