Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness recommendations and service upsells
- Handle reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and client communications
- Maintain salon sanitation through daily cleaning and maintenance checklists
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies, and assist other departments as needed
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in a pet-filled environment.
