Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at our Greenbelt, Maryland location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. Uphold PetSmart's vision by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and driving salon success through exceptional grooming and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services/merchandise, and promote salon growth to meet sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records while providing outstanding in-person and phone service.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
