Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Greenburgh, NY location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents alike. This role combines technical grooming expertise with exceptional customer service, salon operations, and pet safety oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Drive sales through merchandise/service recommendations to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed; assist other departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
