Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and pet safety oversight in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations including greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day deep cleans.
• Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured animals to vets as needed, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
