Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. Uphold company standards for cleanliness, pet health, and safety while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-ins/check-outs, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet well-being.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Excel in high-pressure environments with strong organization, communication, and computer skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/hair/noise. Flexible schedule for evenings/weekends/holidays essential.
