Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet health and safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role in our Guelph store combines technical grooming skills with customer service in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, take immediate action for sick/injured animals including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, and strong communication. Thrive in wet, noisy settings with live animals.

- Composure under pressure in fast-paced environment (experience)
