Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon sales and maintaining top cleanliness standards. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in our fast-paced stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong organization, communication skills, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals. Depth perception and safety focus critical.
