Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and maintains top safety standards. This dynamic role combines hands-on pet care with customer interaction in a fast-paced retail environment, sharing responsibility for salon operations and pet health.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, client records, reminder calls.
• Ensure salon cleanliness/sanitation; respond to pet emergencies including vet transport.
• Collaborate across departments, participate in Belonging culture, follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Excel with computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hairy environments and moderate-high noise.
