Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet health/safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role in a dynamic retail environment combines technical grooming expertise with customer service excellence to uphold our mission of superior pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise, and drive salon sales targets.
- Manage appointments: greet clients, handle check-in/out, maintain records, make reminder calls, and rebook.
- Uphold salon hygiene through daily maintenance, end-of-day cleaning, and immediate response to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments, participate in company culture, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training + certification). Must demonstrate computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing extensively), strong communication, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets and detail-oriented safety focus required.
