Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of superior grooming while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sales excellence in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services, and drive salon sales to meet targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records with precision.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond swiftly to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and manage flexible schedules including evenings/weekends. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
